perfect_light.jpg APLightSource™ 2000 is the culmination and synthesis of years of research, clinical application and experimentation. The device represents a significant technological breakthrough, utilizing 2000 state-of-the-art high intensity, super bright Aluminum Gallumarsenide LEDs. These LEDs effectively stimulate the cell’s mitochondrion membrane with (630nm) red light diodes and (880nm) infrared light diodes mounted together on the same lightweight pads.

Increases circulation
by increasing the formation of new capillaries, which are additional blood vessels that replaced damaged ones. New capillaries speed up the healing process by carrying more oxygen as well as more nutrients needed for healing and they can also carry more waste products away.

Stimulates the production of collagen.
Collagen is the most common protein found in the body. Collagen is the essential protein used to repair damaged tissue and to replace old tissue. It is this substance that holds cells together and has a high degree of elasticity. By increasing collagen production less scar tissue is formed at the damaged site.

Increases RNA and DNA synthesis.
This helps damaged cells to be replaced more promptly.

Stimulates fibroblastic activity, which aids in the repair process.
Fibroblasts are present in connective tissue and are capable of forming collagen fibers.

Stimulates tissue granulation and connective tissue projections,
which are part of the healing process of wounds, ulcers or inflamed tissue.

Stimulates the release of adenosine tri-phosphate (ATP).
ATP is the major carrier of energy to all cells. Increases in ATP allow cells to accept nutrients faster and get rid waste products faster by increasing the energy level in the cell. All food turns into ATP before the cells utilize it. ATP provides the chemical energy that drives the chemical reactions of the cell.

Increases lymphatic system activity.
Edema, which is the swelling or natural splinting process of the body, has two basic components. The first is a liquid part, which can be evacuated by the blood system and the second is comprised of the proteins, which have to be evacuated by the lymphatic system. Research has shown that the lymph vessel diameter and the flow of the lymph system can be doubled with the use of light therapy. The venous diameter and the arterial diameters can also be increased. This means that both parts of edema (liquid and protein) can be evacuated at a much faster rate to relieve swelling.

Russian cellular biologist Tina Karu documented compelling evidence and substantiated Dr. Mester’s original concepts. In exposing human cell cultures to low intensity light, she observed accelerated growth of 300 to 600 times that of the controlled cell cultures. She concluded the difference was due to the various frequencies and intensities to which the cell cultures were exposed.

She also determined that the most effective wavelengths for biological acceleration were between 600nm red light and 900 nm infrared light. Furthermore she discovered that the frequency of the wavelengths, applied alone or in combination, as well as the power intensity and the pulsing of the energy, were all variables in contributing to the final results of photo-biological stimulation.

Dr. Harry Whelan, a Professor of Pediatric Neurology, Director of Hyperbaric Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin and a Consultant working with NASA, issued a press release that corroborated Dr. Karu’s earlier findings that light accelerates biological functions of not only plants but also human beings. This process, by which light applied at specific intensities and wavelengths stimulates the cellular matrix increasing cellular activity/metabolism, is known by various names such as Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT), Low Level Laser (LLL), Bio-Modulation, Cold Laser, etc.

In the laboratory, he showed that skin and muscle cell cultures grew 150 to 200 times faster when exposed to low intensity light, specifically to a special laser hybrid known as LED’s (Light Emitting Diodes), originally developed for NASA.
The benefit of Dr. Whelan’s work is that it provided a scientific bridge: that LED’s can be arranged in arrays to effectively treat large areas, and that the energy can penetrate human tissue as deep as 20 cm. This study was first published in The Journal of Clinical Laser Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Whelan and his team have gone on to demonstrate how this technology could be beneficial in accelerated wound healing of diabetic ulcers, burns, ulcers caused by chemotherapy, also in the musculoskeletal injuries, nerve damage and much more.

Supportive Research

In over 2,500 studies and clinical trials IR photo bio-stimulation has been shown to deliver powerful therapeutic benefits. Recent discoveries by NASA and others have created a revolution in our understanding and ability to control the photo bio-simulative process.

Tests conducted with scanning laser Doppler demonstrate increases in microcirculation from 400% to 3200% after one IR LED treatment.

Studies have shown that human tissue exposed to IR light from LEDs, grows at a rate from 150 to 200% faster than cells not stimulated by such light.

Cells treated with IR Light show a five-fold increase in growth phase specific DNA synthesis.

150% increases in the production of ATP (cellular energy) have been observed in cells exposed to IR Light.

BASICALLY...IT GETS BETTER QUICKER WITH THIS THERAPY ADDED.
